1. Introduction

GreenThread is a carbon accounting and net zero management service operated by Duckham Meridian Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (trading as DMG). By using GreenThread you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, our Data Processing Agreement and our Copyright & IP notice, which together form the agreement between you and us.

2. Service Description

GreenThread helps organisations measure greenhouse gas emissions, set reduction targets and produce regulatory disclosures. It is a tool that helps you comply — not a substitute for professional legal, tax, accounting or assurance advice. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your data and the completeness of your disclosures.

3. Accounts & Access

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. Subscriptions & Payment

Paid plans are billed via the DMG Account Centre. Prices are quoted excluding VAT. Card fees are included. See our pricing page for current rates. We may change prices with 30 days' notice.

5. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you upload and the reports you generate. We process it only to provide the service, acting as your processor under our Data Processing Agreement. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data. We will not sell your data.

6. Emission Factors & Frameworks

We source emission factors from published sources (DEFRA/DESNZ, EPA, IEA, IPCC) and update them periodically. Framework guidance is maintained by our team but may not reflect the very latest amendments. Each factor and framework status is tagged with its source and a “last reviewed” date.

7. Intellectual Property

GreenThread, its software, design, content and compiled libraries are owned by Duckham Meridian Group Ltd or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service during your subscription. Full details are in our Copyright & IP notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

GreenThread is provided “as is”. Duckham Meridian Group Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to fees paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. We do not guarantee that your use of GreenThread will satisfy any specific regulatory requirement.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate with 30 days' written notice. On termination you may export your data for 30 days. After that, data is deleted in accordance with our retention policy.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
